The story of HeadWest began with the friendship of Amanda Allen and Emily Campbell, which blossomed at the 2014 Engage! luxury event summit. Both were successful entrepreneurs: Amanda founded NewlyWish, an online wedding registry gifting platform later acquired by WeddingWire in 2015, and Emily led GoBella Design & Planning, a luxury events company established in 2002.

In 2021, Amanda and Emily joined forces as business partners, identifying a market need for fusing luxury event production with premium gifting. This vision led to the launch of HeadWest in 2022, featuring their signature "Brim Bar" activation. Since then, HeadWest has expanded its offerings to include leather wine totes, koozies, dopp kits, leather sunglass cases, shoulder bags, wooden frames, and more.
